Note: Do not physically connect the USB video adapter to your computer until instructed to (Step 7).
- Download the latest drivers from the StarTech.com website (http://www.startech.com/Support). You can find the part number and product ID on the product’s packaging.
Double-click the MAC OS folder. Double-click the appropriate folder for your operating system. Double-click the DisplayLink Installer 75598.dmg file. Follow the prompts to install the new drivers. Restart the computer when prompted. Once Mac OS X has restarted, connect the USB video adapter to your computer. Drivers compatible with Windows® 7, Windows® 8, and Windows® 10. Installing USB-Link 2 drivers will disable the old USB-Link drivers on your PC. If you want to use both the USB-Link 2 and the old USB-Link, you will have to reinstall the old USB-Link drivers after installing the USB-Link 2 drivers. The Link.USB can record at sampling rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96 kHz at 24 bits and ships with Mackie’s Traction 2 (PC and Mac) software for recording and editing. Note: Mac OS X will typically save the files to the Downloads folder that is associated with your user account (for example, hard_drive_nameUsersyour_nameDownloads).
- Double-click the DisplayLink.zip file.
- Double-click the MAC OS folder.
- Double-click the appropriate folder for your operating system.
- Double-click the DisplayLink Installer 75598.dmg file.
- Follow the prompts to install the new drivers. Restart the computer when prompted.
- Once Mac OS X has restarted, connect the USB video adapter to your computer.

Note: Installation might take several seconds to complete. During the installation your display might flicker; this is normal. Once the installation has completed you will see your Macintosh desktop extended to the additional monitor.

*PC Driver v1.9 and Mac OS Core Audio for Onyx-i mixers do not support device aggregation. This means you cannot connect multiple Onyx-i devices to the same computer for simultanous use. Similarily, you cannot aggregate Onyx-i mixers with Onyx Blackbirds.

*Drive v4.1.0 + Control Panel v1.0.0 do support device aggregation on PC and Mac with other Onyx-i mixers, as well as Onyx Blackbirds (up to four devices). Note that if you are connecting an Onyx-i mixer to a PC or Mac by itself, the above PC or Mac driver is the appropriate driver for that setup. However, if you are planning to aggregate the Onyx-i mixer with an Onyx Blackbird, you will need the latest driver and control panel for the Onyx Blackbird which installs the Onyx Blackbird control panel and allows you to aggregate it with other Onyx-i mixers starting with the serial number 204.
